Academic Social Business Network - The Creative Arts Connection

Welcome to A.S.B.N

Working with the University of Bath, the Academic Social Business Network (ASBN) project is a website hub which will unite developing students with their prospective consumer markets. Initially the hub will allow students to interact with their peers and create valuable contacts within their chosen professional field. Here students will also benefit from being able to pull on a larger pool of knowledge and experience which in turn will benefit them with their academic learning and ultimately assist them with the transition into the workplace.

This project will give students a new platform to promote their skills, talents and products. Students will benefit through the opportunity to display their creations in the knowledge that their intellectual property investment is secured whilst simultaneously facilitating knowledge transfer and linking into the business community. The arts make a substantial contribution to the UK economy so the process represents a long-term financial benefit for members of the ASBN and our country.

ASBN aims to bring a new on-line market that correlates with the courses students are currently undertaking, producing awareness and new business in art, music, fashion and media. This will give the students a new innovative business platform to publicise their work to a much wider audience, including international markets.

A partnership is now currently being secured between the ASBN project and University of Bath which will now bring new future prospects with UKOLN and JISC.  The University of Bath (UoB) works closely with JISC (Joint Information Systems Committee)  http://www.jisc.ac.uk/about us.aspx and hosts UKOLN (UK Online Network)  http://www.ukoln.ac.uk/about .  We will work with UoB and its partners to determine best practice and the impact of the concept upon bringing fledgling talent from University creative faculties to reach full potential in the economic and social environment. With the support of UKOLN, the object is to present the ASBN concept and its components to the spectrum of UK HEIs whilst securing feedback from relevant Faculties.  It is also desirable to investigate links with FE Colleges’ complementary creative faculties.

Over the course of 2010 Dark Energy Pro hosted over 16 events across the UK. During this time we have given well over 100 of our website members the opportunity to perform on a LIVE stage.

This has helped with many of our website members now receiving future bookings from our collaborated UK promoters. We have plenty success stories which has helped us prove that there is a definite demand for a promotion platform for talented up and coming artists.

By making Dark Energy Pro apart of the A.S.B.N, we are now able to apply for funding from the European Commission. We are now in the process of doing this and one of the opportunities available to us is a money match funding option. For every pound we put on the table it will be matched. Winning this competition will enable us to double our funds to the A.S.B.N project.

With all the support we have given to our website members over the course of 2010 we are now asking if you can please can go to the link below and show your support and LIKE and COMMENT on our entry.

Many thanks
